Job summary

Dollar Tree in Davenport, FL is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will help with day-to-day functions, merchandise flow, and opening/closing procedures.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, retail leadership experience preferred, and strong communication, problem solving, and teamwork. This role offers exposure to operations, loss prevention, and employee coaching.

Qualifications

• Customer-service oriented with strong communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Team leadership and coaching abilities preferred.
• Willingness to perform physical tasks (lifting up to 55 lbs).

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize and transfer merchandise to stockrooms and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications.
• Maintain displays and promotional fixtures.
• Assist in ordering, damaged merchandise processing, record keeping, and loss prevention.
• Maintain neat, stocked sales floor and organized stockroom.
• Protect store assets and cash handling.
• Adhere to safety policies and company procedures.
• Support Store Manager in supervising and developing Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness of the store including bathrooms and floors.
• Other duties as assigned.
