Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC in Delray Beach, FL is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development.

You will assist with daily store activities, organize merchandise, and help train and supervise associates while maintaining safe, welcoming conditions for customers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical store duties.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Excellent customer service, organizational and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Move merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain promotional displays and store fixtures.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping (payroll, scheduling, cash register deposits).
• Maintain clean, well-stocked store and secure assets.
• Adhere to safety policies and procedures by all associates.
• Support Store Manager in training and development of associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe environment for customers and staff.
• Keep store clean, restrooms stocked, floors swept/mopped, trash removed.
• Other duties as assigned.
