Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. seeks an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with merchandising, inventory, and store cleanliness while upholding company policies and promoting a safe, friendly shopping environment.

You will help train Store Associates, supervise tasks, and ensure accurate payroll and scheduling. The role requires physical work, strong communication, and a commitment to high standards of service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain directives.
• Experience in store management in retail, grocery, or drug environments is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and handle frequent walking, standing, and lifting tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, payroll, scheduling, deposits and loss prevention.
• Keep store areas well-stocked and organized, protecting company assets including cash.
• Adhere to policies, safety guidelines, and ensure all associates follow procedures.
• Support Store Manager in supervising, training, and developing Store Associates.
• Foster a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and colleagues.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, trash, and overall presentation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
