Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with day-to-day store activities and help maintain a well-stocked, clean, and welcoming sales floor.

The role requires strong communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills, with responsibilities including staff training, adhering to corporate directives, and ensuring safety and loss prevention.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read and explain directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties as required.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Excellent customer service, organizational and communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional storefront fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, cash deposits.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom per company standards.
• Protect store assets including cash and ensure loss prevention.
• Train and develop store associates and ensure a safe, respectful environment.
