Job summary

Family Dollar in Rocky Mount, NC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations and customer service while developing the team. You will help with daily activities, merchandise flow, and adherence to store policies.

The role requires strong communication, teamwork, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. This is a full-time position located on site at 1459 E. Raleigh Blvd., Rocky Mount, NC 27801-6508.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environments preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, and cash deposits.
