Family Dollar is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Illinois to help oversee store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with daily store activities, organize merchandise, and support opening/closing procedures while ensuring promotional displays remain effective.

The role requires strong communication and customer service skills, with experience in retail management preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsabilités

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional displays and store fixtures.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll/scheduling and cash deposits.
• Maintain well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash.
• Adhere to policies and procedures including safety guidelines.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a safe, respectful environment for customers and associates.
• Keep store clean, restocked bathrooms, floors swept/mopped, trash removed.
• Other duties as assigned.
