Job summary

Caleres is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Pasadena, TX to lead by example in the store’s daily operations and customer experience. You will drive sales, coach a team, and ensure standards are met while the Store Manager is away. You love shoes and inspire others through authentic leadership and a customer-first mindset.

You’ll manage staffing, train associates, and support peak times with a focus on growth, loyalty, and operational excellence across our brands.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of sales experience, preferably in retail.
• Experience in interviewing, hiring, and training staff.
• Ability to lead, motivate, and communicate with store Associates at all levels.
• Ability to train and develop Associates to provide an engaging customer experience and execute operational tasks.

Responsibilities

• Inspire associates to foster customer relationships and operational excellence.
• Network with external talent and assist in hiring top performers.
• Oversee store operations, pricing, shipping, inventory, and staffing levels.
• Use insights to drive store performance and achieve sales goals.
