Goodwill Industries of the Southern Rivers is seeking an Assistant Manager for the Douglas, Georgia store to supervise daily operations, support leadership in achieving revenue goals, and implement scheduling techniques. The role includes training leaders, managing customer service, and ensuring compliance with policies across retail and warehouse areas.

Qualifications

• Associate degree with two years of management experience.
• Three years of management experience instead of a degree.
• Basic math skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Prior experience in retail or customer service-related environment.
• Warehouse experience.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Trains, develops, and coaches all team members.
• Supervises customer services including returns and sales.
• Ensures staffing and scheduling, supplies are ordered and housekeeping performed.
• Supervises warehouse and receiving to meet month-end goals.
• Oversees the production area to ensure donations are properly received, sorted, cleaned, and priced.
• Ensures production is merchandised for effective selling.
• Ensures the production and sales flow are operating effectively and employees are accountable to procedures.
• Completes task outlines, safety tests, and online training.
• Ensures policies and procedures are executed properly.
• Maintains 24/7 readiness to respond to alarm codes, opening and closing protocols.
• Opens and closes the store and manages all areas of retail and warehouse operations.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Store Manager.
• You will be cross-trained and learn all areas of the retail operation.
