Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of Georgia LLC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, assist customers, and help develop the store team. The role emphasizes maintaining a clean, well-organized store and protecting company assets while ensuring policy compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service and organizational skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain promotional storefront fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, and record keeping.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all store assets and cash.
• Ensure adherence to policies, procedures and safety guidelines.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Foster a positive, safe, respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Maintain store cleanliness, including restrooms, floors, and waste removal.
• Other duties as assigned.
