Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of Georgia LLC seeks an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist the Store Manager with tasks, organize merchandise, train associates, ensure safety and store standards, and maintain a clean, welcoming, and well‑stocked shopping environment.

This part‑time role emphasizes strong communication, attention to detail, and a commitment to a positive guest experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Process corporate directives including Pull and Hold/Destroy and Task Compliance.
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store-front fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping and loss prevention.
• Maintain store areas to company standards and protect assets.
• Adhere to policies and procedures including safety guidelines and ensure staff follow them.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe environment and professional interactions with customers and staff.
