Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of Georgia LLC seeks an Assistant Store Manager to help oversee daily store operations, deliver exceptional customer service, and develop a high-performing team in Conyers, GA. You will assist with merchandise stocking, opening and closing duties, and ensure compliance with company policies.

You will lead staff training, supervise associates, and maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming store environment while upholding loss prevention practices and accurate record keeping.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures and process corporate directives.
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store-front fixtures and displays and assist in ordering merchandise.
• Record keeping (including payroll, scheduling, and cash handling) and loss prevention.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked store and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to safety policies and ensure associates follow procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
