Job summary

Family Dollar in Atlanta, GA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help with store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with daily store activities and help ensure the sales floor, stockroom, and fixtures are well organized.

The role requires strong communication and leadership, the ability to train Store Associates, and a commitment to a safe, friendly environment for customers and staff. This is a full-time on-site position at our Lakewood Ave location.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment and provide customer service excellence.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Support payroll, scheduling, and cash handling; assist loss prevention.
