Job summary

Citi Trends is hiring an Assistant Store Manager in Richmond, VA to support daily store operations and lead a dynamic team. You’ll work closely with the Store Manager to drive sales, ensure excellent customer service, and maintain inventory accuracy.

Responsibilities include staffing, onboarding, coaching, and implementing company policies while promoting a safe, engaging shopping environment. Flexibility for weekends is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–4 years of experience as an Assistant Manager or similar retail leadership role.
• 3–5 years of overall retail experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and people leadership skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Support daily store operations to meet sales goals and customer experience standards.
• Monitor sales activity and guide associates to deliver excellent service.
• Assist with inventory control, shrink prevention, and transactions.
• Hire, onboard, and train store associates; assist with staffing levels.
• Provide coaching and performance feedback to team.
• Ensure compliance with Citi Trends policies and standards.
• Support merchandising, visual standards, and loss prevention.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
