Job summary

Vans is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Austin to lead a team of Brand Advocates, drive sales, and deliver a first-class customer experience in a fast-paced retail environment. You will work with the Store Manager to ensure profitability, maintain merchandising standards, and foster an inclusive, high-performing store culture.

The role requires 2+ years of retail or store leadership experience, excellent communication, and the ability to coach and develop players while managing daily

• Proven ability to drive results through store teams and exceed sales and profit goals.
• Strong coaching and people development skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication across all levels.
• Comfortable with retail software tools and processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop, and motivate a team to deliver best-in-class customer experience.
• Partner with Store Manager to drive profitability and manage expenses.
• Oversee opening/closing procedures and daily store operations.
• Support recruiting, hiring, and onboarding of new team members.
• Provide ongoing training and feedback to staff to raise performance.
• Maintain merchandising standards and product replenishment aligned with brand directives.
