Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities include assisting with day-to-day activities, merchandising, payroll and scheduling, while upholding company policies and safety standards. You will help train Store Associates, maintain clean, well-stocked departments, and ensure a positive shopping experience for customers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.
• Retail store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for store front.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked store and stockroom to company standards.
• Protect company assets, including store cash.
• Ensure policy compliance and safety procedures among associates.
• Help Store Manager supervise and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment.
