Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. seeks an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with day-to-day store activities, help manage merchandise flow, training, and compliance with corporate directives. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives is required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks including walking, standing, and bending.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and customer service abilities are required.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills are essential to daily operations.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communicate store-related information.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for storefronts.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged items, record-keeping, payroll, scheduling, and cash deposits; support loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked, clean, and organized sales floor and stockroom per company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines and ensure staff compliance.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop store associates.
• Foster a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers, associates, and leaders.
