Job summary

StorQuest Self Storage is hiring a hands-on Assistant Store Manager in California. This role supports the Store Manager across daily site operations, revenue efforts, delinquency management, occupancy, and maintaining a clean, safe facility.

You will handle the rental process end-to-end, take payments, upsell merchandise and insurance, and assist customers with truck rentals when needed. Weekend availability is required, and a team-first mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Preferred 1+ years in Customer Service/Sales experience.
• Experience in Cash Handling required.
• Must be available on weekends.
• A huge passion for guest service and sales.
• The ability to be part of a team to help support and motivate as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist guests during challenging times and deliver exceptional guest experiences.
• Manage all aspects of the rental process: converting a sale, taking payments, selling merchandise, and offering insurance.
• Assist customers with truck rentals at some locations.
• Participate in collecting past-due accounts and maintain smooth store operations.
• Inspect stores daily, maintain a clean facility, and handle cash and deposits.
• Coordinate with vendors for routine maintenance and service needs.
