Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC in Amherst, NY is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help run daily operations, assist customers, and develop the team. You will support opening/closing duties, merchandise flow, and ensure seasonal areas are well maintained.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain directives is required
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or similar environment preferred
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed
• Maintain store areas and ensure displays meet company standards
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, and record keeping
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash
• Supervise, train, and develop store associates
