Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help run daily store operations, deliver outstanding customer service, and develop team members. You will support opening and closing, assist with merchandising, and ensure store standards.

This role emphasizes strong communication and teamwork in a fast-paced retail environment. You will train associates, enforce policies, and maintain a safe, inviting shopping experience for customers and staff alike.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks as required.
• Strong communication and organizational skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Supervise, train, and develop Store Associates and ensure a positive, safe environment.
