Job summary

SecureSpace Management LLC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager for our Los Angeles stores. You will support the Store Manager, Area Manager, and District Manager to drive sales, improve occupancy, and ensure a positive guest experience.

Weekend scheduling flexibility is offered with a $1,500 retention bonus after milestones. You’ll help maintain brand standards, supervise staff, assist with inspections, and coordinate with the field leadership.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in storage, retail, or hospitality.
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
• Provides consistent support to the Store Manager and acts as a backup.
• Customer service mindset and guest-focused approach.
• Proficient with Word and Excel for reporting and docs.
• Identifies maintenance, safety, and fire issues proactively.
• Willing to travel occasionally to other locations for shifts.
• Skilled in resolving conflicts and resolving issues quickly.

Responsibilities

• Support the team in surpassing sales targets and promote rentals, warranties, and moving supplies, and encourage positive reviews.
• Guide new customers through the rental process for smooth transactions.
• Reach out to potential clients to confirm moving dates and unit readiness and security.
• Assist in managing accounts of past-due tenants and lien/auction paperwork.
• Contribute to exceptional customer service and address customer needs effectively.
• Conduct daily property inspections to maintain security, cleanliness, and upkeep.
• Perform light maintenance tasks and gardening; operate basic tools as needed.
• Communicate updates, results, and recommendations to Store Manager and Leadership Team.
• Occasionally travel to nearby locations to assist with shifts; weekend/holiday availability as required.
