Job summary

America's Thrift Stores is seeking an Assistant Store Manager (Bench) to lead daily retail operations, develop a high-performing team, and drive revenue and donations in a community-focused setting. This exempt, full-time role reports to the General Manager and partners with district leadership to align with company goals.

The position emphasizes budgeting, loss prevention, staff development, and exceptional customer experiences across all store activities.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and people development skills with the ability to motivate and coach a large team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused approach.
• Strong organizational, prioritization, and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced retail setting.
• Bilingual preferred to support diverse customers.
• Experience with POS systems and MS Office is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire a dynamic team to deliver outstanding customer service and meet goals.
• Collaborate with store leadership to manage budgets, donations, and operations.
• Collaborate with AP/PCBP on investigations and loss prevention measures.
• Oversee onboarding, training, and development of team members.
• Ensure merchandising standards and floor presentation are top-notch.
