Job summary

America’s Thrift is seeking an Assistant Store Manager (Bench) to lead a high-performing team within a busy retail setting. This role demands strong leadership, budgeting, and loss prevention skills to drive revenue while upholding the company mission and values.

You will collaborate with district leadership to optimize operations and community impact. You will hire, train, and coach staff, ensure excellent customer service, manage inventory/donations, and lead promotional activities.

Qualifications

• Leadership and people development skills to coach and grow a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities with a customer focus.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Bilingual preferred and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays.
• Willingness to relocate within nearby states and proficiency with POS systems.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with AP/PCBP to address incidents and protect assets.
• Delegate daily tasks to supervisors and team members for efficient operations.
• Oversee deposits, currency exchanges, and cash-handling processes with accuracy.
• Lead and inspire the team to live out company mission and values.
• Ensure policy compliance, safety standards, and operational excellence.
• Conduct performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Recruit, hire, and onboard new team members as needed.
• Maintain visual merchandising standards and drive sales growth.
• Manage inventory and donations flow to maximize revenue.
• Support store manager with opening/closing, cash management, and staff supervision.
