Carter’s Inc. is hiring an Assistant Store Manager in the United States to lead daily operations and coach a diverse team.

You’ll welcome customers, showcase our baby essentials, and drive a welcoming, inclusive environment on the sales floor. You’ll partner with the Store Manager to recruit, train, and retain a high-performing team, analyze store performance with KPIs, and ensure merchandising standards align with brand guidelines across our Carter’s and OshKosh B’gosh lines.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of retail or related management experience
• A high school diploma or GED
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and stand for extended periods
• Provide availability including days, nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled, with at least two closing shifts per week

Responsibilities

• Execute workforce management to ensure a genuine customer focus on the sales floor
• Welcome customers with a warm greeting and provide assistance with product styles, features, and benefits
• Foster a positive, safe, and inclusive environment for employees and customers
• Coach others to success and model service standards and omnichannel experience
• Analyze business performance and drive KPIs with the team
• Assist Store Manager in recruiting, training, and developing store staff
• Plan, track, and report tasks and financial results using company tools
• Collaborate on merchandising standards, promotions, and product placement
• Reduce loss through strong customer service and operational controls
