Job summary

The Salvation Army Tempe Thrift Store is seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Store Manager to help lead daily operations and superb donor/customer service. You will coach staff, manage POS transactions, and ensure ARC merchandising standards while maintaining strong community relations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED or equivalent required.
• Must have a minimum of 2 years’ previous Retail Management/Supervisory experience.
• Must be able to accurately handle POS/Cash Register operations and cash transactions.
• Must hold a valid Driver’s license and be able to show proof of insurance.
• Must pass background check, including Criminal History and Sex Offender Registry.
• Ability to communicate effectively with management, fellow store employees, customers, and donors.

Responsibilities

• Take an active role and partner with the Store Manager in day-to-day store operations.
• Oversee all day-to-day store operations in the Store Manager's absence.
• Provide coaching, training, and development to Store Employees.
• Ensure customer/donor needs are met with strong relations and timely service.
• Address personnel issues with Management in the absence of Store Manager.
