The Salvation Army Thrift Store Phoenix is seeking an experienced Store Manager in Chandler. You will lead day‑to‑day operations, drive sales and customer experiences while aligning with program goals of the ARC and local community support.

Responsibilities include staff scheduling, hiring and training, loss prevention, and ensuring smooth store functions from floor to back room. Strong communication and leadership are essential to success.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Minimum 2 years retail management/supervisory experience.
• Able to operate POS/cash register accurately.
• Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.
• Pass background check (criminal history & sex offender registry).
• Effective communication with management, staff, customers and donors.

Responsibilities

• Plan and direct the day‑to‑day operations of the store.
• Develop strategies to improve customer service, sales and profitability.
• Maintain strong Customer/Donor relations and resolve complaints promptly.
• Schedule staff to ensure proper coverage and lead regular team meetings.
• Hire, train and evaluate store employees; issue disciplinary actions as needed.
• Ensure inventory levels and back room processing meet daily goals.
• Safeguard cash, manage change, and ensure secure banking per policy.
• Lead weekly store meetings and implement loss prevention measures.
