Job summary

Global Partners LP in Swampscott, MA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager (ASM) to support the general manager in day-to-day store operations while upholding company policies.

The ASM will supervise hourly staff, manage cash handling, inventory, and administrative tasks, ensure safety and cleanliness, and engage in promotional initiatives. The role requires flexible hours and at least 1–2 years supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years supervisory experience.
• Flexible hours including day, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to communicate, count, read, and write accurately.
• Ability to perform basic computer functions.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
• Ability to work in intermittent temperatures outdoors, in cooler, etc.
• Lift up to 25lbs during a shift and access all areas of the store.
• Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Complete required daily accounting paperwork and transmit by deadline.
• Supervise, develop, train and discipline non-exempt employees.
• Monitors shift cash handling and inventory; investigate shortages/overages.
• Maintains business records and cashier accountability sheets.
• Perform banking, invoicing, payroll, and other administrative duties.
• Manage cash management procedures including bank deposits.
• Maintain Grand Opening Ready Standards and store image standards.
• Maintain high levels of cleanliness and sanitation.
• Ensure store is secure and safe; report issues to management.
• Coordinate gasoline deliveries and participate in promotions.
• Promote guest service and engage in company initiatives.
• Perform duties per company policies and the General Manager.
