Job summary

Global Partners LP in Ludlow, MA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager (ASM) to support the General Manager in daily store operations while upholding company policies.

The ASM will supervise hourly staff, manage cash handling, banking, inventory, payroll, and administrative duties, and ensure safety, cleanliness, and guest service. Qualifications include 1–2 years supervisory experience, a High School Diploma or equivalent, reliable transportation, and availability for flexible hours.

Qualifications

• Flexible hours including days, nights, weekends or holidays.
• 1–2 years supervisory experience.
• Ability to work unsupervised.
• Ability to communicate, count, read, and write accurately.
• Ability to perform basic computer functions.
• Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to work in intermittent temperatures (outdoors, cooler, etc.).
• Ability to reach, bend, twist, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb ladder/stairs and lift up to 25 lbs during a shift.
• Ability to access all areas of the store including selling floor, stock area, and register area.
• Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
• Vocational or Technical Education High School Diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Complete required daily accounting paperwork and transmit by deadline.
• Supervise, develop, train and discipline non-exempt employees, upholding operational standards.
• Monitor shift cash handling and inventory; assist investigations of shortages/overages and variations.
• Maintain business records and cashier accountability sheets as prescribed by management.
• Perform banking, invoicing, payroll, and other administrative duties.
• Manage cash management procedures including bank deposits and change orders.
• Maintain store image standards and cleanliness.
• Ensure store is secure and safe; comply with safety guidelines.
• Coordinate gasoline deliveries and ensure adequate gasoline levels.
• Engage in company promotional initiatives and guest service.
• Perform duties per company policies and Handbook.
