Job summary

ALDI is hiring an Assistant Store Manager to support day-to-day store activities, supervise staff, and help drive store performance. The role includes scheduling, developing action plans, and identifying training opportunities to grow the team.

The position is full-time with an average of 38 hours per week and a starting wage of $26.00 per hour, with a wage increase to $27.00 per hour in year 2. Benefits are offered to eligible employees under ALDI’s comprehensive program.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of progressive retail experience.
• Prior management experience preferred.
• Ability to work 38 hours per week and maintain coverage.
• Adherence to company policies and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assist with supervising day-to-day store activities and ensuring performance.
• Develop operational action plans and identify training opportunities.
• Schedule management and payroll assistance with store leader guidance.
• Communicate goals, responsibilities and performance expectations to staff.
• Monitor inventory, product handling and cash control policies.
• Participate in interviewing store personnel and ensure customer service excellence.
• Maintain store cleanliness, signage and overall merchandising standards.
• Escalate issues and support the direct leader to achieve store goals.
