ALDI is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to oversee day-to-day store activities, supervise staff, manage schedules, and develop action plans to improve operating results. You will identify training opportunities and ensure customers receive top service while upholding company policies.

Starting wage is $26.00 per hour with a wage increase to $27.00 in Year 2; average hours are 38 per week. Benefits and equal opportunity employment are included.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older to be employed for this role.
• Experience in retail management and leading teams is preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
• Ability to develop rapport and train direct reports.
• Ability to interpret company policies and manage budgeting and expenses.

Responsabilités

• Assist the direct leader with developing and implementing action plans to improve operating results.
• Establishes and communicates job responsibilities and performance expectations to direct reports to ensure mutual understanding and desired results.
• Identifies training and development opportunities for direct reports to achieve enhanced performance.
• Monitor competitive environment and inform leadership of adjustments to maintain competitive position.
• Participate in interviewing store personnel and communicate information to the team.
• Ensure inventory procedures, product handling guidelines, and cash control policies to minimize losses.
• Maintain store cleanliness and proper signage at all times.
• Assist with maintaining stock levels and merchandising to maximize sales.
• Support payroll goals, loss prevention, inventory counts, and training of new employees.
• Supervise day-to-day operations and escalate issues as needed.
• Education/experience: minimum 3 years in retail; prior management preferred.
