Job summary

Global Partners LP in the United States is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to assist the general manager with daily store operations, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. This role supports day-to-day accounting, supervises hourly staff, and maintains store standards.

You will manage cash handling and inventory, perform banking and payroll duties, and help execute promotional initiatives while promoting exceptional guest service and safe, clean store conditions.

Qualifications

• Availability for flexible hours including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Minimum 1–2 years of supervisory experience.
• Ability to communicate, count, read, and write accurately.
• Ability to perform basic computer functions.
• Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
• Able to work outdoors and in coolers or other intermittent temperatures.
• Capable of lifting up to 25 lbs and navigating stairs and aisles.
• Access to all store areas including floor, stock, and register.
• Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Complete required daily accounting paperwork and transmit by deadline.
• Supervise, train and discipline hourly employees, ensuring standards are met.
• Monitor cash handling and inventory; assist investigations of shortages/overages.
• Maintain business records and cashier accountability sheets.
• Perform banking, invoicing, payroll, and related duties per cash control policies.
• Manage cash deposits and change orders.
• Maintain Grand Opening Ready Standards and store image.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards.
• Ensure store safety and security; report issues as needed.
• Coordinate gasoline levels and deliveries; engage in promotions.
• Support guest service goals and company initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned by GM/Territory Manager.
