Job summary

Lids is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to lead store operations, training, and customer service excellence in our North Riverside location. You will supervise staff, maintain visual merchandising standards, and ensure safe, efficient store operations while delivering strong sales results.

The role requires coordinating schedules, handling escalations, and implementing company policies to create a positive, inclusive team environment and outstanding shopper experiences.

Qualifications

• Established ability to produce sales results while minimizing loss.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate verbally in a clear professional manner.
• Ability to work unsupervised.

Responsibilities

• Act as Manager on duty for scheduling issues and customer complaints when Store Manager is not present.
• Manage store associates through LIDS Training Programs and goal setting, with regular follow-up.
• Administer the progressive steps of discipline to include verbal and written warnings in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Engage team members by creating a fun and productive environment and aligning with company objectives.
• Contribute to a respectful and inclusive team environment by adhering to Brand Standards.
• Schedule and staff the store, including calling in associates during unexpected peaks.
• Participate in LIDS Training Programs and follow set goals.
• Assist in recruiting and training store personnel on proper store operations.
• Encourage compliance with company policies and safeguarding inventory and cash.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Lead and execute selling strategy to achieve KPIs and sales targets.
• Resolve customer feedback and escalations to make it right.
• Promote Lids membership programs and in-store offers.
• Adhere to visual guidelines for merchandising and store cleanliness.
• Maintain professional appearance per Dress Code.
• Execute operations directives from HQ.
• Follow Policies & Procedures Manual for safe environment.
• Maintain store technology and equipment and perform updates/maintenance.
• Maintain store facilities, supplies, and services.
• Manage cash with opening/closing the till and bank drops.
• Prepare store for inventory audits.
• Open and close the store per SOP.
• Protect Company assets and manage inventory including counts.
• Organize backroom for efficiency and optimize space.
• Execute layout and visual merchandising and seasonal changes.
• Maintain VM and store actions.
• Adjust pricing signage to align with strategy.
