Lids is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to lead daily store operations, nurture customer service excellence, and coach a team of sales associates. You will drive selling strategies, manage scheduling, inventory, and visual merchandising to maximize performance. This role emphasizes leadership, accountability, and a passion for sports fashion.

You'll report to the Store Manager and play a key part in delivering an inclusive, high-energy retail experience across our locations.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to achieve sales targets while minimizing loss.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work unsupervised.

Responsibilities

• Act as Manager on duty for scheduling issues and customer complaints when the Store Manager is absent.
• Lead store associates through training programs and goal setting.
• Ensure discipline with verbal and written warnings as needed.
• Foster a respectful, inclusive team environment and adherence to brand standards.
• Schedule and staff the store, including handling peak periods.
• Recruit and train store personnel on operations and procedures.
• Support policy compliance and protect company assets.
• Drive KPIs, sales targets, and exceptional customer service.
• Maintain visual merchandising, signage, and store cleanliness.
• Open/close the store following Operations guidelines.
• Manage inventory counts, backroom organization, and product presentation.
