Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with daily activities, organize merchandise, and help train associates to maintain a safe, efficient, and welcoming store environment.

In this role, you will work closely with the Store Manager to supervise staff, ensure clean and organized sections, and uphold company policies. A high school diploma and strong communication are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives is required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physical tasks (standing, walking, bending).
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process directives and keep records for store activities and cash handling.
• Maintain store areas and promotional displays to company standards.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, and loss prevention.
• Supervise, train, and develop store associates; ensure friendly customer interactions.
