Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with day-to-day activities, organize merchandise flows from truck to floor, and help ensure safety, accuracy and guest satisfaction.

The role involves opening/closing procedures, directing staff, and upholding company policies while maintaining a neat, well-stocked store and positive environment for customers and associates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize merchandise transfer from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise and payroll/scheduling tasks.
• Maintain a clean, stocked store and stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all assets including store cash.
• Ensure policies, safety guidelines and teamwork are followed.
• Support Store Manager in supervising and developing store associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, respectful environment for customers and staff.
