Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, customer service, and team development in a high-energy retail environment.

The role involves organizing merchandise, supervising associates, and maintaining displays while ensuring policy compliance and safety. You’ll assist with opening/closing, assist in ordering, and help protect assets, contributing to a smooth, productive store.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or similar setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain store front displays and fixtures' promotional effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, handling damaged goods, payroll, scheduling and cash deposits.
• Keep sales floor and stockroom well stocked and organized to company standards.
• Protect store assets, including cash, and adhere to safety policies.
• Support Store Manager in training and developing store associates.
• Maintain a clean, safe, respectful environment for customers and staff.
