Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will help with daily activities, merchandising, and training Store Associates to maintain a welcoming shopping environment.

The role emphasizes teamwork, strong communication, and the ability to handle opening/closing duties while ensuring safety and policy compliance across the store. This is a part-time or full-time position depending on scheduling needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Willingness to perform opening/closing duties and assist with store operations.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise between delivery truck, stockroom, and sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process directives and maintain store displays and fixtures.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged items, and cash handling duties.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash; follow safety policies.
• Help the Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
