Job summary

Foot Locker in Lubbock, TX is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to lead with energy and ownership on the sales floor. You will coach the team, drive sales results, and ensure an exceptional customer experience across busy floor shifts.

This hands-on role requires open collaboration, daily ops oversight, and a focus on loss prevention, safety, and brand standards while supporting growth opportunities for staff.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of retail experience, preferably in a leadership or key holding role.
• Ability to coach, motivate, and engage a diverse team.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Reliable, self motivated, and ready to take ownership.
• Basic understanding of retail KPIs and operational processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example on the sales floor with energy and solutions for customers.
• Coach the team to deliver great service and product knowledge.
• Support sales goals by staying engaged on the floor and closing the loop with customers.
• Help manage daily store operations including opening/closing and cash handling.
• Maintain store organization, safety, and SOP adherence.
• Take ownership of store execution and leverage digital tools to enhance operations.
• Serve as Manager on Duty and support hiring, onboarding and training.
• Coach teammates in real time and step in where needed to prioritize priorities.
