Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required/readily interpret operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Strong written and verbal communication is required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Excellent customer service and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain effective store-front fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, process damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, cash deposits and loss prevention.
• Keep store areas well-stocked and organized in line with company standards.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash.
• Ensure adherence to safety policies and procedures by associates.
• Assist Store Manager in supervising, training and developing store associates.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and presentable store environment.
• Follow all instructions and perform other related duties as required.
