Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help with store operations, customer service and team development. You will support daily functions, merchandise movement, and staff training in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities include payroll/scheduling, loss prevention, and maintaining a clean, safe store. This role emphasizes strong communication and a positive customer experience, with opportunities to grow within the company.

Qualifications

• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environments preferred.
• Excellent customer service and strong communication with customers and team.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment and lead by example.
• Strong problem solving and decision making skills are required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and answer questions.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Assist in payroll, scheduling, and cash handling duties.
• Support loss prevention and protect company assets.
• Supervise, train, and develop store associates.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom.
