Job summary

Duluth Trading Company in Fridley, MN is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to lead sales, service and store operations. You will work with the Store Manager to recruit, train, and motivate staff while upholding brand standards and merchandising.

The role requires a customer-centric approach, at least three years of retail experience with management exposure, and flexibility to work evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree with a focus in Business Administration and /or Merchandising preferred.
• Three years of retail experience with a minimum of one year of management experience.
• Retail Management experience is preferred.
• Specialty retail leadership experience is a plus.
• Must be customer-centric.
• Ability to adapt in a growing and changing environment.
• Ability to motivate and lead others.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make good decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead Sales and Goals Achievement by driving sales, profitability and training.
• Lead and maintain merchandise presentation according to Visual Merchandising standards.
• Develop customer engagement and ensure excellent service to create WOW experiences.
• Recruit, hire, train, motivate and lead employees in collaboration with Store Manager.
• Oversee store operations including cash handling, safety, and cleanliness.
• Manage inventory flow, floor coverage and staffing levels.
• Support HR processes and maintain store and employee files.
