Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to join our Utah team. You will assist with store operations, customer service, and team development, ensuring a safe, clean, and engaging shopping environment for customers and staff.

Responsibilities include organizing merchandise, opening/closing procedures, payroll, scheduling, and loss prevention while upholding company policies and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred; ability to read directives and operate store systems.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Excellent customer service, organizational and problem solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process directives and communications related to store activities and maintain store appearance.
• Maintain areas of the store and fixtures to company standards and protect assets.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll and scheduling, and loss prevention.
• Support Store Manager in training and developing Store Associates.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and professional environment for customers and employees.
