Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support day-to-day store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with merchandising, opening/closing procedures, and adherence to company directives while ensuring a clean, well-stocked store environment.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma (or equivalent) and prior store management experience in retail or grocery, with strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day store activities and functions.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
