Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help run daily store operations, deliver excellent customer service, and develop store teams. Responsibilities include merchandising, opening/closing duties, and enforcing company policies in a fast-paced environment.

The role emphasizes maintaining clean, well-stocked sales floors and stockrooms, safeguarding assets, and supporting leadership in staff training. This is a full-time position based in Beaumont, TX.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Retail store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked, clean store and organized stockroom per company standards.
• Support Store Manager in supervising and developing Store Associates.
