Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development in Oak Park, MI. You will help organize merchandise, assist customers, and oversee opening/closing procedures, while ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment.

Ideal candidates have store management experience in retail or grocery settings, strong communication skills, and the ability to lead and develop store associates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environments preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Experience with payroll, scheduling, and cash handling is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Support customer service and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize merchandise from delivery to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Assist in training and development of store associates.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked floors and secure store assets.
• Ensure compliance with store policies and safety guidelines.
• Participate in loss prevention and daily operational tasks.
