Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, customer service, and team development. You will help with merchandising, opening and closing procedures, and ensure store standards are met.

You will supervise and train Store Associates, uphold safety and loss prevention practices, and maintain a clean, well-stocked store. This is a part-time role based in Springfield, GA with opportunities to contribute to performance and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read and explain directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day store activities and operations.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Support payroll, scheduling, and cash handling duties.
• Maintain store cleanliness and organized stockroom.
• Supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure safety and adherence to store policies.
• Protect company assets and loss prevention.
