Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager for our Tucson, AZ location to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with day-to-day activities, open/close procedures, and protect company assets while ensuring a safe, friendly environment for customers and associates.

The role involves supervising store associates, organizing merchandise flow from delivery to floor, and executing corporate directives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drugstore environment preferred
• Strong communication and customer service skills essential

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day store operations and activities
• Help customers with questions and concerns in a positive manner
• Coordinate merchandise transfers from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal displays
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed
• Follow corporate directives and communicate store information to team
• Maintain store fixtures, displays, and overall promotional effectiveness
• Assist in ordering, processing damaged merchandise, payroll records, scheduling, cash handling, and loss prevention
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked store and organized stockroom
• Protect and secure store assets including cash
• Ensure adherence to safety policies and procedures by associates
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates
• Foster a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff
• Maintain cleanliness of restrooms and store floors; handle trash and restocking
• Perform any other duties as assigned
