Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help oversee store operations, deliver outstanding customer service, and support team development in Mesa, AZ. You will assist with daily store functions, supervise associates, and ensure policies are followed.

In this role you will partner with the Store Manager to maintain presentation standards, manage schedules, and safeguard assets while promoting a safe, welcoming shopping environment for customers and staff alike.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives is required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, and repetitive lifting.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise and loss prevention tasks.
