Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development at our Lancaster, SC location.

You will assist with opening/closing, supervise associates, ensure compliance, manage inventory, and maintain a clean, well-stocked sales floor. This role requires a high school diploma, store management experience preferred, and a commitment to a safe, respectful work environment.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks including walking and standing.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment and deliver excellent customer service.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store operations and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Follow corporate directives and maintain promotional displays and fixtures.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash.
