Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of South Carolina LLC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help with store operations, customer service, and team development in Spartanburg, SC. Responsibilities include supporting daily store activities, assisting customers, and maintaining merchandise flow from delivery to floor.

The role supports opening/closing procedures, promotional displays, inventory control, and staff supervision.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives is required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform frequent walking, standing, bending, and lifting.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures and process corporate directives.
• Maintain promotional fixtures, organize displays, and ensure loss prevention measures.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged items, payroll, scheduling, and deposits.
• Supervise, train, and develop Store Associates; maintain a safe, respectful environment.
