Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with daily functions, help customers, organize merchandise, manage opening/closing, and supervise store associates to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.

You will contribute to a high-energy team, drive promotional displays, and help ensure a positive shopping experience for customers in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Excellent customer service and organizational skills.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise and loss prevention.
• Maintain store areas to company standards.
• Protect and secure store assets including cash.
• Ensure policies and safety guidelines are followed.
• Help Store Manager supervise and develop associates.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and presentable store.
• Other duties as assigned.
